BBC wildlife presenter Iolo Williams will be guiding a very intimate safari of only 6 people through Namibia and Botswana for Natoura Voyage in 2017. So if a safari through some of Africa’s top safari game parks and reserves has been on the top of your list of things to do, you may want to make it a reality. Iolo will guide you in search of Africa’s magnificent wildlife, such as Black Rhino, Wild Dog, Elephant and the shy Sitatunga antelope. In addition, we will be focusing on the wonderful birdlife with Pel’s Fishing Owl, Bare-cheeked Babbler, African Skimmer high on the list. During our visit to the Africat Foundation, where you have the opportunity to learn more about Namibia’s population of free-roaming predators (lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena and smaller species) and the way this foundation is trying to protect them living on private cattle farms. They also have a very interesting rehabilitation centre here where you can get close-up views of these amazing animals. In Botswana, our lodge is situated on a peninsula and offers excellent Okavango Riverine habitat and we will explore this and the upper Okavango River with a mixture of boat cruises and birding walks.
